At a time when Heaven is being plagued by blackouts, a Gate Guardian angel named Sid realizes he’s gay. Horrified of being found out, he unexpectedly finds refuge in a pizzeria on Earth run by a small demon family. However, the blackouts persist, and the Gate Guardian leader, General Kazimir, is determined to find the cause before God has to get involved. It’s closer than anyone thinks…
plot Summary
Isidore (Sid)- An insecure, socially awkward teenage angel who, despite being literally made for his job, is terrible at it. Very gay. Someone help him. (This character engages with violence and gets impaled with a spearduring the show.)
Fergus- An impulsive, blunt, off-the-wall teenage demon who has a switchblade and should not have one. He’s secretly very lonely, but his unusual personality doesn’t afford him many friends. (This character pins another up against a wall ina threatening way at an intimate distance)
Mortimer- Fergus’s uncle and the proud owner of Inferno Pizzeria. A former drag queen, he started his business when Fergus came under his care. Grouchy and straightforward, he wants nothing more than for his nephew to make some goddamn friends. (This character gets hugged from behind in an intimate way during the show.)
Lady Lillith- Confident, bold, and self-assured, Lady Lillith is the gothic drag queen star of her community. Having started her career with Mortimer, she’s gone on to produce her own music albums, and works to give a voice to other queer artists during Pride Month. (This character hugs someone from behind in an intimate way during the show.)
General Kazimir- The leader of the Gate Guardians, whose job is to keep demons from getting into Heaven. Determined, yet manic and absurdly homophobic, his authority keeps the Golden City under his control. (This character engages with violence and impales another character during the show. They also initiate a lot of physical contact with another character.)
Lieutenant Blaine- The General’s right hand. Their loyal and professional stature have unfortunately secured them the role of keeping Kazimir from eating the consequences of his words and actions. They don’t get paid enough for this.(This character is often involved in unwanted physical contact during the show. However, blocking can be altered for the comfort of the actor.)
God- The extremely tired creator of…everything. He’s usually occupied with keeping humanity from wiping itself out every second of existence, so he put General Kazimir in charge of protecting the Golden City. Doesn’t put in an appearance unless you really fucked up
